As the first point of contact for cafeteria customers, the Cafeteria Cashier plays an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience. At Nova-Tech Engineering we take a strengths-based approach to our team members and company. This role will provide exceptional customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. The Cafeteria Cashier will assist with behind-the-scenes duties to keep the cafeteria and kitchen clean and inviting, while maintaining required standards.

What we’re looking for:
- Customer service focus to greet customers, answer questions, and address concerns professionally.
- Maintain knowledge of daily menu items and promotions.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process orders and payments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, stocked, and organized cafeteria throughout each shift.
- Assist with dishes, garbage removal, and other general cafeteria cleaning duties as needed.
- Collaborate with the Campus Crave team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Support Nova-Tech Engineering’s vision, strategies, and core values as an engaged team member.

- 1+ year of experience in a cashier, customer service, or related role preferred.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process transactions.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine cafeteria duties.
- Professional, ethical, and dependable, with sound judgment and follow-through.
- Demonstrates respect for others and appreciation for diverse experiences and perspectives.
